Metal Stamping
The Hines Group uses a number of different makes and types of straight-side and OBI presses to produce metal stampings for the electronics, television, automotive, medical and consumer industries. Many of these parts are measured in microns (.00001") utilizing a wide array of measuring techniques and equipment. Some of the measuring equipment is unique to The Hines Group and not found anywhere else.
The Hines Group has 18 High Speed Bruderer presses capable of producing high quality metal stampings at speeds of up to 1200 SPM (strokes per minute). These presses give THG the ability to produce products with very close tolerances at extremely high rates of speed. Our technological advantages allow us to compete favorably with the Asian manufacturers and to provide significant savings to our customers. The Hines Group has designed and built tools for these Bruderer presses that produce deep draw metal stampings at speeds from 200-800 SPM.
THG produces metal stampings in large sizes at our west-side plant. Using progressive, transfer, compound and single station dies in presses ranging in size from 60 to 600 tons. We have a complete on-site tool room including jig-grind and wire-EDM capability. Engineering support is provided by THG Corporate Engineering and by on-site manufacturing engineers. Quality Control is a way of life for The Hines Group.
The Hines Group's Four Slide and Multi Slide departments are involved in stamping brackets, wireforming and spring production. This department produces wireforms and stripforms by moving the metal from multiple directions. Using a wide array of metals including stainless steel, carbon steel, copper and brass, THG produces four slide metal stampings and multi slide stampings for the electronics, automotive and hardware industries.
THG is world-renowned for the quality and workmanship of its deep draw metal stampings. Over the years THG's tool design Engineers and Tool-and-Die Makers have developed techniques and skills in design and production that seem to defy the laws of physics. In the special art that is deep drawing, The toolmakers at THG are among the world's consummate artists.
The Hines Group West Side plant performs production machining of shafts for motors, pumps, and generators.
